See our CK5 man shima's post #597 in the "Chalet tracking" thread where he has the still-functioning Nov 2025 Instagram sales ad and its photos that shows its previous groovy old custom van-style mauve paint job. See my own post #601 in that tracking thread for the drama encounter I had with that seller. Scroll down a couple spots after and our CK5 man shima had gotten pics of the SN plate to confirm it was #1522, and then our man Desert_K5 showed the link for its BarnFinds website entry. I'm maybe thinking it got flipsaled to the current seller, who's same phone number in his Jan 9 2026 Craigslist ad is identical to the one in the above current Craigslist ad link. Same groovy paint job in that Nov 2025 ad / Jan 2026 ad with the identical asking price of $12,500, but the Jan Craigslist seller described it as "Car is very original I believe original paint." Might just be the same guy as the first Nov 2025 seller, but with a different phone number in the Jan 2026 listing.
Current description basically implies the whole rig is "very original," saying so twice. His (or whoever did it) repaint is not even remotely close to factory original 1977 colors, and they might have re-used the '76 model year stainless steel trim on the sides. Actually, It's hard for me to spot anything that's untouched original from the factory. Dash and seats, maybe. Headlights & taillights. Seen orange front turnsignals on '76s more than once, but not on '77s ....
