77 Chalet

Mucho thanks for spotting this. I only had this previous ad which didn't have the serial #. Talked to the seller three times now, but he never got around to emailing me the numbers. Since he dropped off the word "Chalet" in the new ad, it doesn't pop up in my various searches.

Save it from the CRUSHER alert - '77 Chalet in Denver

The one above is still available, last I heard.

Meanwhile, I just talked to the seller of this one in Denver, he says it has a week to live before he hauls it off to the crusher: http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/1734699423.html

He says one guy called and said he only wanted the Blazer body and would ditch the camper, and another caller was only slightly interested in the camper by itself.

Said it was not rusty and the interior was in good condition, but his mega-car collection 'crisis' means some have to go right now. Could be a good deal if all it needs is a new engine.

Oops, flat forgot to come back to this thread and put in the new link http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/1734699423.html

His ad headline was misspelled "Charlet" so I suggested he ought to edit that, so others doing nationwide searches could find it. He ended up deleting it instead. I've never used Craigslist, but I assume you can fix typos in the original ads?

The above #1009 Chalet was saved from being needlessly squashed, our man azblazer intervened and talked a guy into buying it, and he joined the Yahoo Chalet owners' forum last night.
