That's the problem I found looking for mine. All the ones I found except for the one I ended up getting were unwilling to separate the two. These things are not your average slide in camper. They are a little more challenging to load and unload. Even more so on a lifted K5. So most have had them long enough that the factory K5 top, tailgate and rear seat are long gone. Which is another reason for somebody to unload it as a unit.

Problem is there are so few of these left if you really want one, the only way to get one is to buy one as a unit and sell the K5 that came with it to recoup some of the cost. It's a crapshoot, but last year I had found two that were loose or willing to split. I bought one the one willing to split.

They are out there for sure, but you have to be diligent in the search if you really want one. Best bet is to keep tabs on Craigslist in Colorado as there seems to be more here than anywhere else. Most likely due to the fact they were built in metro Denver. The forum over on Wander the West usually has somebody post up about them when they show up. Look in the gear exchange section.

Me and my grandson drove out to the Golden Super Cruise and met up with @Bent77 . Lots of cool trucks, cars and pretty ladies.

I picked up a Wilco swing away with a receiver hitch. I felt this would work better for me then one with a spare tire holder already built on, as it would allow me to set it up as I liked. Then I fabbed up the tire holder and the first Jerry can holder.

I finished the second Jerry can holder and I have also added a bracket for the handy man jack. I then built a telescoping LED light pole.









I also mounted my front winch.

I still need a roller fairlead for the winch if anyone has one for sale. I also would like to upgrade from the 5/16 cable to 3/8. Anyone know how long of a 3/8 cable an 8274 will hold?

You look ready to try it out. My schedule is all twisted and I got to work sat, but I'm going to go up to start of Red Cone after work and camp, then meet up with Mrk5 on Sunday. I might be by myself or with my buddy Bill with his Tacoma.

Yes it passed. The funny thing is the inspector passed it for having a catalytic converter and it doesn't. It never did as far as I can tell. It came from the factory with dual exhaust according to the option list and I am pretty sure GM would not have put dual cats on a K5. It has the factory heat shields above the mufflers but no other heat shields at all.

I just did some searching. Hickenpooper is looking at adopting just the Commieforia emissions standards, not necessarily having statewide testing. It's forcing Low emissions requirements and Zero emissions requirements too.

I know this, I'm not putting cats on my Blazer until I have to.

I'm pissed I didn't keep the vin tag off of the 75 I had. Otherwise the 91 may have been turned into a 75 with a 91 front clip and roof.

I recently picked up an ARB air compressor and started looking for the best place to mount it. With dual batteries under the hood and future plans for either an 8.1 or an L29 454 I figured I should save room for an ECM. That and the fact I like having as much room under the hood for maintenance and repairs as possible sent me looking elsewhere.
In a quest for clean dry air I ultimately decided on under the passenger seat for the compressor and under the rear bench for the tank. I mounted the compressor to a steel plate then mounted that to the factory seat bracket holes.




The compressor is lower then the tank so I made sure to add a moisture trap that was downhill from the compressor. A bulkhead fitting thru the floor lets me drain any moisture.


Recessed bulkhead fittings were added to the rear seat base.


The gauge is visible from the drivers seat, I am not sure if that is the best setup. Time will tell.


I will add a grommet to the carpet hole when this all comes back out for the nv4500 / 241 install.
