I have a 77 K5 blazer with a 350 in it. It ran fine started right up every time until my friends took it while I was outta town and ran it dry. So i hooked up some jumper cables and sprayed some starter fluid into the carb and it fires for a couple revs then dies. So I'm guessing gas isn't reaching the carburator. What do ya'll think I should do replace the fuel filter and if that doesn't work check out the pump? All suggestions are welcome I just want this thing up and runnin again, thanks.

Replace the fuel filter first. Sometimes running the tank dry allows a bunch of crud in the tank to get pulled through the system and clog the filter.

THanks a lot, thats what I suspected I just needed someone that knew more than me to confirm my suspicions lol

Mine takes a ridiculous amount of effort to reprime when I run it dry, I usually have to fill the float bowls at least twice. Which is a total pain with a truck avenger.
