'77 step side desert runner

White stepside FTW

Just so much metal sex going on. How'd I miss this one?

Well I've been slammed with work and have barely touched the truck, however things are slowing down a little and started tinkering on the truck some this evening.

I got the brass slug pressed out of my control arm to weld the other side up. Made a couple passes on one of the uprights and also finally got my new snouts in for the rbp hubs.

Yeah you need some glass fenders or just dont even run a front clip for a minute.

I personally love the looks of go fast trucks with no front clip. Lets you see all of the mechanical goodness...

Those are hanneman glass fenders. @Deuling

The tires should cycle inside of the fenders. The new hubs pushed the track width out another 1/2" I wasnt accounting for. I hope it doesn't screw me.

I don't want to run without a front clip, I'd just build a buggy if that was the case.

Those look alot different than the hanneman fenders I had that I never used. They did not have the inner structure part of it where your tire is hitting above. But then again they were meant for an 80s body style too.

Got the mock up arm on the passenger side looks like it will clear the shocks and spindle just fine.

Metal to metal it cycles about 20" of travel. With a little trimming it should do an easy 24" so it looks like the steering will be the only thing that limits travel once I start figuring that out.
