We will find out for sure on Tuesday. I'll post some pics on here to let you know for sure once I get it on the trailer. What I do know is, I have to run stock rims with stock tires to get it on there. The biggest trailer I could find was from budget. It's the alum. one with a 80" floor width between the fenders and 4200 lbs. capacity.

Cool... Thanks for the info, I'll be eagering awaiting the results!

I haven't forgotten about you. Budget was having issues today. They gave me the wrong trailer for one. instead of 80" alum. trailer I got a 79" alum. trailer, but instead of having only 4200 lbs. it has 4550 lbs. of carrying capacity. So I'm going to give it a try. Then on inspection I noticed the side strap tie down hooks were gone. Budget opted to keep the trailer and repair it and will give it to me on Wednesday around noon. All this took about 2hrs. to figure out, but they are giving me 2 free extra days on my contract, even though I'm only loosing one day. Then there was the moving and packing stuff while dealing with the return of my k5. I will give pics and report of the trailer when i get it later today.

Just have a safe trip please. And let us know how everything goes. Your design for the spare tire carrier gave me an idea for mine, now the wheels are turning in my head.

Hey, no worries! Just get it done safely! Mine's not going anywhere, I don't need to move it today.

But thanks for remembering :-)

Thanks alot guys. I did get it on the trailer, and it does fit. It's held in place by (4) chains and (4) 10,000 lbs ratchet straps. I even had a couple of inches left. here the pics.

That's very good news... that's an option for me then, as I found out today that my K5 needs to be moved ASAP.

Nova , Why did you strap it down like that? I alway's strap by the axle bc if you dont and the suspension move's you could lose a strap. I was just curious on your philosiphy. Alway's interesting to hear other people's idea's. Also I do see the chain's on your axle as well .

Another quick question... does that trailer have brakes?

It looks like it has hydraulic brakes on the tongue.

I can't speak for him, but I would use the straps to compress the suspension some to minimize vehicle bounce. He has the chains to secure the vehicle to the trailer.

This is exactly what i am doing. secure the k5 by chains on the axles and minimize the body movement. oh, yes there is hydro brakes on this thing.

Good to hear that you made it safely. I got ballsy and drove my K5 about 160 miles on a bad pinion bearing, a leaking t-case, a shot front end, and with an engine that ran like crap and ran hot the whole way :eek1::eek1::eek1:

But at least I got my truck back :D

Glad you made it:D.........Sorry about Indiana:laugh::haha:

I have been way busy on the house projects.so far I have all the electric updated to 100 amp service from a 40 amp service. Most of the plumbing has been change out from black iron pipe and lead pipes to cpvc. And I have been in the middle of moving the bathroom to the other side of the house, were I'll finish the rest of the plumbing. Crazy days!!

my bumpers are starting to rust because of the bare metal so I need to get them painted up before there is any damage to them.

Like I said I have been real busy out here in INDIANA.
