Friends father is junking a 78 f250 and a 79 f350 4x4 trucks. Anything good i can get off it for my M1009??

as always thanks guys

Snag the front axles! I think that the F250 will have either a HP Dana 44 or 60, depending on factory options. The F350 should be a HP 60. Both are drivers side diff, which is the hot ticket for folks doing late model GM solid axle swaps. :cool1:

Get the t-case for the front output...too. ;)

Snag the whole drivetrain from the F350. The axles will highly likely be D60HP front and D70 rear along with the NP205, you can swap all that into your GM and go as low as 7.17 gear ratios in the axles.

the 60 fronts are bringing around 900-1100 on ebay alone. if divorced tcase thay bring 200 range. and if going dubler you can use the front axle under your truck and get the kit and use the 205 case with the dobler and not change the input as ford is 31 spline . good luck.

This could work out well.... Sweet What does a 460 go for? any idea? thx

quite a bit, a 460 swap is a highly regarded engine for bronco's wanting to do that swap, which alot of them like to do.

around us I wouldn't expect to sell the 60 for 900-1100. I sold a Chevy one for $650 and I sat on it for a while. Still I only paid about $300 for it and put nothing but time into it, so basically doubled my money for nothing.

ahem.... your welcome. lol

hall, i got 200 on mine.

Did you tell me about my Chevy one? Its been so long I can't remember. I only paid like $250 for it at Geese's(the chick gave me a deal and didn't realize it was a 60). Of course you hooked me up with my High Pinion, now hook yourself up wtih a new one :D

Trying to get the ford facts straight here...
both will have either 300 L6, 351, or 400 motors, unless someone did some swappin'.
C6 or NP435 married to NP205.
both will have FFD60 rear axles.
the F350 will have a HPD60 frontend, provided no swapping occurred.
F250 could go either way...check to see if it has smooth kingpin caps or castle nuts on top of the knuckle.
awesome score and good luck!
