We had a full-size run at Wellsville over the weekend...it was a blast!!!
My club (Tiretown 4 Wheelers) met 78 Bufords club (Ohio 4x4 Trailriders)
at Oaktree friday and saturday....I got there saturday morning with "madmike".

There was over 20 rigs total..we made the mistake of going in one group.

First we went to the playground...for some mud.

Then we hit the "Rock Garden" for some rocks.

Yep...You missed the fun...."madmikes" wheelie too!!!

man, Nice pics
next time you guys go to wellsville i'm gonna have to try and tag along
love to see the fullsizes get it done

i blew the welded dana 44 front end on my 74' K20 8 foot bed late last year on Ugly trail when my club the Blacklist wheelers were down there ( i had bald 36" TSL/SK's and 16.5's without beadlocks, BAD combo for slick rocks)
I did however make it up Upper twister in that Truck the night before i destroyed the front end
I only have video of those though, no pics

And earlier that year i rolled my 78' Bluggy on the hard left hand side of the Chinese waterfall trying to climb the skidder looking tracks that come almost straight down from the top left :haha:

That's what I like to see some big ole' full size beast playing in the mud :saweet:

LOL...I know....I was ahead of you guys that day...I recorded the roll.
We'll look You up...I wanna go again in a weekend or 2..hit some buggy trails. ;)

Thanks to all who posted pics! Yes, It was a good time, especially after the full sizers split off from the jeepers. Nothing against jeepers, it was just a smaller group is all.

Everybody was good people too.

I just can't understand why I can't keep a front driveshaft alive in my truck. Does it have something to do with big block power, 38" tires, and front wheelstands? :doah:

A front locker (while not cheap) will prevent you from having to rape the truck so bad. :D

My advice regarding your front driveshaft issue:

$75.00 for a 1410 D60 yoke.
$75.00 for a 1410 NP-205 yoke.
$40.00 for (2) 1410 Spicer solid u-joints
$50.00 for a junkyard 1410 rear driveshaft ( I bought a 2 piece 1410/1410 on one shaft, and 1410/1350 on the other for $25.00)
$50 to have it cut down/shortened to your desired length.

Benefits of this setup:

1410 strength
1410 angle capability
No more CV weak link
Basically a bomb-proof D-shaft that you no longer have to worry about (unless you bash it on a rock).
About $300 total investment.

Thanks for the advice! Actually, I had plans for a locked front axle this summer, and a few other upgrades, but my new 3 car garage project is really costing me some money and time.

Roy, your truck rocks on the trail! Take care!

Oh, I forgot, regarding the driveshaft, do you remember what application (vehicle) to look for? Thanks!

I'd do a 1/4"th DOM shaft..in the rear..with 1410's...
No bendy!!!! :eek1: :eek1:

My driveshaft ordeal was broken up into two threads on my club website:

EDIT: Here is the other link.....was considering using a square tubing front shaft....but didn't:

We are out of webspace, so the pictures that I posted are long gone. I looked for 15-20 minutes to find the other post that had the rest of the driveshaft story......trips to the junkyard in the dead of winter on my "lunch break" in search of the donor driveshaft.
