Dumb question incoming, sorry...

Guy says this is 4x4, and you can see a transfer case shift lever on the floor in the pics. Hubs are clearly not manual though. I know that there was a full-time 4wd system in the earlier 70s rigs... and I know that eventually automatic hubs were introduced, but I thought that was late 80s/early 90s rigs.

Can anyone educate me on this setup?

Most likely a NP203 fulltime case. Very popular with auto trans rigs in the late 70's. Auto hubs came out in the '81 refresh to go along with the NP208 "shift-on-the-fly" case.

Thanks @cheavyk10 !!

I don't know why I expected for there no t-case lever on the floor... that was a little dumb of me. Even in fulltime 4wd you still need to be able to select between lo and hi gear and whatnot.

Thanks again.
