78 k5 antenna help

Can anyone help me find the appropriate antenna for my drivers side fender? It appears to be a stock location but I am having a hard time finding one

Well, the bad news is it's not a stock location. These trucks had an antenna built into the windshield until about 89 or so when they were mounted on top of the passenger side fender.

Thank you for the clarification, that is a bummer, now that i look closer at the hole it doesn't look like a factory cut. Off on a search for an antenna that will fit that location.

It was probably a cb antenna mount
