79 3/4 ton 50$ special?

so i have been on a quest for a cheap truck to either build, or buy and sell to get a better truck, and i came across this truck wondering what motor it could have?

its a 79 3/4 ton 2wd camper special. has a th400, 14bolt FF rear end, small block of some type. I dont know if its a 350, or a 400? any one know what years had 400s till? it has tabs for a big camper on the bed, dual tanks, overloads, and a heavy duty sway bar on the 14bolt. supposedly blown motor, not sure as i just got it friday,

o ya 50$ for the beast with a clean title? good deal?

The 400 was still available in 1979, but not very popular.

$50 for any complete vehicle is a steal. Think how little you would have to sell off it to make the money back, of course get it, even if you do only end up using it for parts for another truck.

i did buy it! i have the title too. it has expired tags, march o3, but its got new flowmaster exhasut, and 8lug 16x8" rims and 33x16.5 mag rims, tires are a mud terrain i forgot ill have to check what brand. has a th 400 and a corp 14 with large drums, also rear sway bar. tranny cooler, etc.
