79 350 Carb tunning

I think its the carb i just put on because I didn't have any problems before. Its putting and when i hit the gas hard there is now power. I have to push the pedal all the way down to get it to move like its not getting gas. Any suggestions yall are the professionals!!!!!!!!!!!!

4 bbl quadrajet came off and another was put on

Uhhh if you didn't have any problems before why did you swap carbs.
What did the new carb come off of? What kind of condition is it in, does it need to be rebuilt? Is the idle good? How are the cruise rpm's smooth or rough? Is the accelerator pump working right, doesn't sound like it from your description.

To answer the questions above: the first carb was very hesitant so I had another rebuilt. the carb came off a elcamino, the idle is kind of rough, cruise rpms are rough what acceleration pump????
