I am turning an 84 model k/5 in to a 79. I’m recreating a blazer my father had when I was a kid. I’m Puting a 79 front end on it and want to do the interior the same as well. My question, I see seat covers and carpet sets for 73-80. 81-87 an such. Is there a difference in the cut or is it just colors and material being different. I know this sounds kinda dumb but any feed back would be helpful also are the rear interior panels for a 79 available anywhere. Vinyl with carpet on the bottom. ?

The seat shape was different for the 73-80 seats.

I don't think anyone re-pops the rear interior side panels. Somebody on here has a digital full size pattern though.

When you swap the front sheet metal don't forget you'll need to swap the wiper assembly as the wiper stubs are different on the older clip. I believe the stubs are shorter so the wipers tuck under the back side of the hood. The core support mount area isn't a direct fit either. I think the older sheet metal is about an inch shorter.

Just a heads up that to do it well it will be some dicking around.
