ok my dads got a 79 with 350/400/203 and hes been thinking about putting the 700/208 from the blazer in. is this bolt in or is there any special stuff that would have to be done for the 700 to work? driveshafts have to be lengthened? different crossmember? any one done this swap befor? thanx!!

you will need a wireing hrness (painless makes one for around 100) it does take a different cross member. you will need a slip yoke rear drive shaft for a 208 and a 4 bolt flange front. Im not sure anout the lenght(it should be fine if the donor setup is from a blazer. hope that helps

well its from a 84 k5...so i would probobly need a new driveshaft..or one with the right u-joints any way.probobly one from a 208 half ton truck or w/e would work ...with the right u-joints..

is there an adapter to put a 700 and a 203 together or no?

That would take the TH350/NP203 adapter but may require you to modify the 700R4's out put shaft.
