'79 f350 supercab

found a stripped '79 f350 supercab (extended cab) with just cab, frame, springs complete steering and axles and tires. the guy is asking $1400. at first i thought it was a complete vehicle so i could part it out, but now that its just bare with the axles frame spring and cab i duno if its still worth the trouble or not. i know a friend that sold ford hp60/rear60 for $1500 on pirate. what rear end would this have? i know regular cab 4wd f350s have rear 60's and the 2wd had 70's for what ever reason, but what about a 4wd supercab?

it should be a 60. My brother had a 79 regcab f-350 it had 60s front and rear. I say go for it.

he says they got 4.10 gears, and he knows what they are worth. wouldnt be getting a super deal on it like i had hoped when i originally saw the ad

Its right on the line for breaking even. The rear is a dime a dozen 60, probly a an HD 60. I just found an HP60 for $800.....

it sounds high to me, if you really want them for yourself go for it. but if you plan on selling that stuff you you might not make any profit. think of it this way, except for you who else is ready to hand over $1400 to this guy for a parts truck. he's probably gonna sit on it for a long time.

what if you offered him $500 - $700 ?
