I've had this truck for thirteen years. The original body is rusted out in all the usual places but the frame appears to be in salvagable condition.

A few years back I bought another body from a junkyard with the intention of restoring it and getting it mounted on my truck's frame. One thing led to another and I never really got around to getting my project done. Now, five years later, I'm finally in a position to finish it. I'll be posting my progress as I go.

Left Bedside Panel Removed

Used a spotweld cuttter to remove all of the spotwelds from the panel. They were not too hard to find. They line the front of the panel in the door jam, under the B pillar panel, along the inside bed rail, and down the back of the panel.

Wow, spot weld cutters make this so easy! I had tried just drilling them out and using the cheap "drill bit" style cutters...none of them work as quickly or as well as the arbor style ones with replaceable cutters!

Rocker and Kick Panel Removal

Next I braced up the door with 1/2" square tube and then used a sawzall to cut out what was left of the original rocker panel and kick panel. The A pillar was shot too, so I just cutthrough it to get it out ofthe way. I'll grind down the spot welds and pull the rest of it later after I get the rocker and kickpanels welded back in.
