79 Stock 350, need more power!

I have a 79 k-5 with the stock 350, k&n air filter and performance exhaust, and that is about it as far as performance mods, what would be a good way (the cheaper the better) to get a good jump in power. A lot of people have said new intake and carb. Just looking for opinions, Thanks

both those are great, i had a few stages of build up on my engine and know have all the parts mentioned and the biggest difference came from the cam and different gear ratio
