'79 Tailgate swap question

I see here in my search that there is a difference between '79 and '81 or so in pickup tailgates.

I wanted to swap my Blazer gate for a pickup one I can find for cheap off of a '79. I have an '87 Blazer.

Any compatibility issues?

the trunions are a different size between the 70's and 80's gates. as long as you get all the hardware with the gate they bolt on.

so,if I get '73-'79 hardware, there's no problem?

LMC lists a trunion for an '81, but the tailgate I can grab is a '79. anyone seen a hinge/trunion for that aftermarket?
