I am preparing to swap the 10 bolts out for 3/4 Ton axles under my blazer (Dana 44 front and 14 bolt rear with 4.10's) and I had two quick questions. I recently came across a used tire and rim combo for sale in the area for a real good price. They are 8 bolt 16 x 10's with 35" BFG MT's and the combo came off a newer superduty ('99 or newer). So what I am wondering is:

1) Will there be any rim clearance issues with 16" on stock 3/4 ton axles from the early 80's since they normally ran 16.5"?

2) Are the bolt patterns the same? I thought 8 bolts were interchangeable, but then I saw something about the newer Fords (99 and up) being metric 8 x 170 mm which ends up being about 8 x 6.69 vs the older Chevy's which are 8 x 6.5?

Anyone know?

Those won't work for you, stupid dutys have the metric pattern and will NOT fit our axles.

Ok, so it's no on the bolt pattern for these particular ones, but how about the first question in regards to 16" rims in general?

Thanks for the responses.

A 16" rim should not be a problem (unless it's some weird offset or something) as almost every 3/4 or 1 ton truck that came out of the factory from the 80's until a few years ago had 16's. I personally ran 16x10's with about 4" backspacing (pretty standard) on a GM Dana 60 front and 14-bolt rear with no issues.
