A friend of mine just bought a '87 K5 Blazer. It's got a 8 inch lift with 35's on it but it really needs some more tire under it. so his question is will 37x14.50 toyo open country M/T's fit with no scrubbing. he doesnt go offroad much, if at all. so hes not gonna be abusing it. he really doesnt want to trim his fenders. but he said he wouldnt mind just cutting the corners off.
His setup is Front: Ranco 4" leaf springs & DIY4X easy-inch W/ axle moved forward 1 inch, Rear: DIY4X shackle flip & DIY4X easy-inch W/ axle moved back 1 inch. and a 3" body lift.

The width is gonna be the killer on this equation. I ran 37x12.50 on 10" wheels with a stiff 6" spring. It rubbed on the corners of the front fenders if I hit a dip while turning. Same truck with 33x14.50 on 12" wheels will rub if I hit a hard bump while turned.

Probably minimal trimming required if he stays with a 10" wide wheel and 4-5" of backspacing to keep the tire tucked in some. That fang on the rear of the front fender will be the culprit with wide tires. Those stiff Rancho springs will help some too.

Show him some pictures of some of the trim jobs on here. A lot of them you can not even tell its cut at all if you just remove that corner and flow with the normal fender opening.

Bottom line on these trucks is the fender opening is just not big enough for a large tire with no trimming. I could make my 33's rub with a soft 4" lift spring up front.

im running 37" x 12.5 tires on a 6" lift but my wheel is only 8.5 wide with a 4.25 backspace

toyo are always wider im sure it closer to 15" wide i see some trimming in your future :D

he has apparently changed his mind to the 36x14.50r15 super swamper tsl radials. so will these fit ok? his wheels are 10" wide and have 3 5/8" backspacing.

A skinnier tire and wheel (with more backspacing) will likely fit better! I ran just under 4" lift, and 37x12.50's on H2 takeoffs with some trimming (nothing too awfully huge trimming wise) and longer bumpstops and was quite happy!
