You may not really need a shim to piont the front diff pinion back up. The increased positive caster from lift springs, which causes the front diff pinion to piont downwards, is a good thing. The increase in positive caster helps trucks with bigger tires handle better. What I did on my truck was, instead of using a wedged shim to piont the diff pinion back upwards, I bought an offset U-joint for the front diff pinion, which can handle a maximum operating angle of up to 30-degrees (your operating angle will probably not even be close to that [mine wasn't]).
