8 Low

I was going to road trip to western ne this weekend but between exaust fumes & vibration I called it off. I think the taper on my lug nuts is too steep for my wheels, they are not centering. This is only in the rear where I am running spacers. I have not nailed it down as my problem but I am pretty sure at this point that there is a compatability problem back there somewhere.

I'd check the spacer to see if it's tight. Usually those tapered lug nuts will still center even if the tapers don't match

It's tight. I can loosen the nuts, spin the wheel & it bolts down lopsided depending on where bottom is. Tightening the nuts does not center it. I tried centering the wheel then tightening it & it made the vibration less but it came back as I drove.

Sounds like the nut is bottoming on the stud threads before the spacer/wheel is tight.

Definitely check this ^^ At one point in my build I had spacers in the rear for H1's and had this issue. I almost didn't notice it as my wheels would get "snug" but not tight, they would move when they had weight on them.

Except the stud goes through the lugnuts...

Edit, I reread what you said. Nevermind lol

I agree.

Took spacers off. Still have wobble, seems a little less though. Need to spin all of my wheels & tires & figure out I find it's wheeel or tire. I just don't think that without a bunch of work & time the H1 combo is what I need right now, too many varaiables. I got 1 H2 wheel bought off Craig's list. Now I need 4 more. I'll probably just sell off the H1's & run a quality radial & H2's. Going to start back in on my sheet metal. Got distracted this last couple of weeks.

Nothing wrong with the truck. Moving to town, downsizing considerably. I have 2 3/4 ton 4 doors that do almost the same job.

Yea I know, I've been driving it. Love it. I love tooling around town, either people look at it with disgust, or envy. I really need 40's this next time around. 65 is about max speed.

A taller tire will effectively up my gear ratio. Give me a little more hwy speed. With the doubler I have enough hearing down low to turn them on the trail.
