I tried to do some searching but can't get the search engine to take my query. It says my search is too short or I'm not asking the right way.

So, if someone else can find an old thread and point me in that direction it would be great, or someone can just answer this question:

Can you fit a 15" Aluminum wheel on a D60 and 14BFF? Or am I going to run into clearance issues with brakes, etc? I want to run a 39.5 Bogger, but they don't make it in a 16" size. Only 15" and 16.5". Don't want to run a 16.5, and M/T makes a Classic Lock in a 15x12 which is the wheel I want. I already bought the 16x12 Classic Lock when I originally planned on running 38" Boggers, but have decided to go to a slightly larger tire. I don't think I'll be able to run a 44" Bogger b/c I don't want to :hack:

Currently I have a 3" body lift, and the suspension will be one of two options:
1) ORD coil-over system (should be 4-6" of lift. I don't think they have figured out which they are going to do yet)

2) 6-8" leaf springs with zero-rates. I figure I could maybe clear the 44's with an 8" spring, zero-rates, and the 3" BL, but would prefer 6" springs, zero-rates, 3" BL and a 40" tire.

Any input is appreciated.

Please note, I'm not going to take off the BL, and don't want to mangle the sheet metal. I use this truck on the road as a 2nd vehicle, and the looks of it are important to me. I use it offroad when I hunt at my buddies ranch, but I'm not going to be seeing some of the extreme stuff alot of you guys do in rocks, etc. Thanks.

Cool. Thanks for the link! From that post it looks like I'm stuck with a 16" wheel or larger if I want an aluminum wheel. Interco needs to make a 39.5" Bogger for a 16" wheel!!!!!

The answer is no, but mainly for the reason is that I have not seen anybody produce an aluminum 15" 8-lug wheel for a long time. The only ones I have ever heard about were custom made by Weld back in the 80's. If somebody has proof that a 15" 8-lug aluminum exists, post up!

The second reason is that aluminum rims are significantly thicker than steel rims, so it would require even more caliper clearance than steel versions. I would tend to think that even an aluminum wheel with low backspacing (around 2.5") would still require a decent amount of grinding??

My blazer isnt where i can look at it right now, but from memory my 15x10 2.5" backspaced steelies have a good amount of clearance. But good luck finding that combonation in an aluminum rim.

I know all wheels are slightly different, but on my 2.75" BS steelies I had to lightly touch up the calipers with a grinder to make them fit. I'm guessing that you could likely make an aluminum version fit........but just as you said good luck finding one.

Yeah, it looks like I am just going to have to stick with the 16" wheels I have and use a 38" Bogger or a 44" Bogger. Now to decide what I really want to do with it.

Thanks for the input guys.
