How do I get 8 lugs on the front of my IFS truck? Is it a simple swap? Can I just buy new rotors and crap.

lots of stuff i heard. but the easy short way is no. not easy swap. mounts are diffrent for front diff and lots of other stuff. but i just run 2x4 88-ups so i dont have first hand info. and i like my 60s better.:D

I was thinking of putting in a FF and just wanted the front to match. Also when the day came for a 60, my rims would work.:doah:

Can't do it unless you go to a solid front axle or have incredible fab skills. :( On our '94 Sub I replaced the rear 10-bolt with a 6-lug, 14-bolt SF. It's WAY beefier than the 10-bolt and my old wheels bolted right up. :) Found it under an extended cab pickup at the JY.

I've already got a 6 lug 14 semi under the rear but everyone likes a ff. I guess its no big deal, I was just wondering what there was to it. Thought maybe some HD stuff would bolt up.

wider yes

pricey yes

think i saw some for sale in the for sale forums

This is why your's has the SF14B. "Soulemate" on here gave the best description. Here is the post with the good info:

Thanks Jim that answered my question. I guess for now I'll just swap out the 3.73 sf I've got in the shop.

I fixed the brake lights and turn signals. Brake pedal switch was bad and the turn signals had the wrong bulbs in it causing electrical havic throughout. Also fixed the door jam switch and rear wiper. Just got to get an a/c compressor now, thats what's roaring. Also need to figure out why the gas hand works when it want's too.

Your tag is coming UPS.

Glad the lights were an easy fix. I felt so bad when you called me. I never would have sent you off if I knew about. I would have had them fixed before you got here if I knew they were bad.

Pull the studs on the front. Plug weld the holes up and redrill for 8 lug.
