Is there any place online I can buy everything I need to convert my 1990 k5's front diff over to an 8 lug. Im talking knuckes, hubs, discs everything. Also has anyone put a newer 2001 and up 14 bolt out of a 2500hd or equavalent in a k5 yet? Thanks

Alex

i dont think that the swap is worth it...if it is an AAM1150, which, as far as i know, arent any traction devices available for it yet.

i dunno about the AAM1050 which it could be that.

plus i think they have dual piston rear brakes which would require either a new master or prop valve, or both.

with as many 14 bolts that are out there, unless it was free, id pass.

You do not need to change your knuckles, spindles, locking hubs if you swap in 8 lug stuff from an internal hub axle. The only thing that must be changed is the hub and rotor assembly (bearing hub and brake rotor). You can get that stuff at your local parts house.
