I always wished they built those. A tahoe is a good size, and has an ok wheelbase to be able to tow a decent amount. Prolly not as much as a burb, but a 4l80e in a tahoe would rock.

I wonder if he put that body on a 3/4" frame, or if he just swapped suspensions......

It's a stock frame and suspension it looks like. I'm guessing he just used some 6-to-8 lug spacers up front and a 3/4 ton rear axle. I wish they came 3/4 ton from the factory too, that would be sweet.

now that you mention it the front is pretty wide for such narrow tires. Probably what he did.

eh what is the wheelbase of one of those things? I think my long bed single cab is like 125. Its not enough for me. I need to get a crew cab if I am really going ot be towing crap anymore.

the track width on those is wider to begin with, and the suspension lift might have added to the width. i believe there is some way of swapping the 3/4 ton suspension including the 9.25" diff. i dont know the details though.

Im sure its possible if you really want to do do it but everything is different from 1/2 to 3/4, frame mount locations and sizes of everything so it would be an incredible amount of work to pull it off..

i like it i wish i knew how he did it so i could run my 14 bolt FF rear axle with some type of 8 lug front until i do my SAS.

6 to 8 lug adpters can be found, and this would also explain the wider track

IIRC it's something like 111"

Edit: In light of Jeremy's post, I was talking about 4dr Yukon/Tahoes

gasp, no, its too short.

the wheelwell cutout in the door is a dead giveaway that is a Hoe.
