no idea where to put it so I' begging here. I'm looking for some 8 tracks. Don't really care what they are just something cool I can listen to in my factory 8 track player that I intend to rock until it quits. I know you folks have some laying around.

I see a box of them at our flea market ever so often. Never paid much attention to them though, but I figure they are cheap there.

Next time you go pick me up a few country or rock please sir. Gladly pay you for them. I just want some to play

I sure will, what's a good price? $1-3 a piece?
Kids and I might go tomorrow if it's not raining, will go next weekend for sure.

Send me on down. I just think it will be cool to have it wired in behind a double DIN GPS unit in my dash....LOL.

"Lemme' just throw this 8 TRACK in and get us some tunes!"

I think I have some 8 tracks stashed in my garage too--if I remember right I had a few still in the shrink wrapper ,brand new...I know I had one of Jerry Reed & Chet Atkins in the mix,and some old 70's rock tapes...

I also found a new AM/FM 8 track player for a car or truck ,that was never installed,it was on a store display wall at one parts store I worked at,I got a bunch of old "new" radios from it,but thought I had sold them all..might still have a used "Spark-O-Matic" AM/FM 8 track too that was in several of my older vehicles..

I think I still have your address ...

I have checked the flea market the last few weekends but all I have found is some disco type music and...kinda figured you would not want that.

he!!, that stuff never made it out of the 80's.. :haha: had some cool ones for my first couple cars, Ted, Smith, Sab, Zep, etc...... :saweet:

I finally thru out all my cassette related stuff about 5 yr's ago....

that's cool.. i often look back on them fondly with those goofy players with the smash handle on top! I guess there has to be some market, somewhere for those... :haha: pretty rare compared to vinyl... i have 2 milkcrates of vinyl in the attic... did you try eghey?

Not really, I just thought some of these old fogeys round here might have some they didn't use or want. I like the duality of the old versus the new. Truck will have a Dual Din GPS head unit to run the tunes. Then on one of the accessory inputs a damn 8 track player rocking some AC/DC... Gotta love that. I'm all about new and technologically hip but I also think that old tech has a place. I can tell you that 8 tracks don't skip like CD's when you're doing ridiculous things in the woods. My dad and I rolled a Scout 80 over on the lid climbing a stack of logs about 9 ft high. We climbed out and got the tractor to turn it over. The first thing I remember is that 8 track player in the truck was still playing when we got back to the truck. I love that crap.

And now my goal is to find done serious Saturday night fever stuff and send it to you lol
If you're prepared to listen to it blasted out of my truck 24-7 at BB then go right ahead. I'll be sure and tell everyone it was your requested music....LOL. Stayin' Alive at 135 DB out in the desert. What's not to like.
