80 3/4 ton

No, the D44's last yr was 77 I believe, but was used clear up to 79 depending on what the plants had in stock.

not too sure abt that, my friend got a 80 3/4 it has a 10 b. my truck used to be a 80 half ton, it had a 10 b. so i dunno.

was figuring it was a 10b and not a d44, havent seen pics of it or anything but i picked up a 14bff/d44 or 10b for $300 delivered

he isnt sure of the gear ratio in them and hasnt popped the covers, they are on a rolling chassis with driveshafts still in it so everything should be working order or atleast hoping so

normal gears for these axles would be 3.73 or 4.10 right ?

higher % of 4.10 or 3.73?

Manuals had more 3.73. (Granny low made it easy to live with tall gears if power was needed)
Auto OD had more 4.10. (OD compensates for the low gear and still has power)
Diesels had more 3.73 (to keep the RPM low)
It's all just average numbers it was mostly what the customers wanted but there was a tendancy for one ratio for a reason.
I have parted enough trucks to get this info as well as people that have posted their findings, but it's not a positive answer more of an experience.
No warranties

My donor 1980 3/4T Suburban for my K5 axle swap came with a 10B front, and a 14B FF rear axle.
