'80 yota

Look for an 86 Fourrunner, it's the last year with the solid front axle before they went IFS and the first year with fuelinjection.;)

'85 was the last year for the solid front axle and was the first year for EFI... :p:

Definatley go over the entire frame for rust and rot. Especially in the rear areas by the spring hangers. Also if it is lifted, see if they swapped to the IFS/cross over steering and got rid of the push/pull steering..
On the engine, check the coolant color.. Any brown is a sign of a head gasket problem or a bad timing chain guide that has worn through the timing chain cover.

would it be a problem if it doesn't have crossover, or is it just helpful? My blazer doesn't yet, and it's alright to drive. But then again, I don't know much about the strength of yota steering boxes and 36's.
