Due to a "thermal event" (that's what the carmakers call it) https://ck5.com/forums/threads/blue85-catches-on-fire.348499/, I'm in need of a bunch of interior parts. I'm sure the list will grow as I tear stuff apart, but I might as well start asking and collecting stuff now.

The whole area from the PS kick panel up under the dash to the windshield is wrecked. If somebody has a complete HVAC system that would probably be a good start for me. I'm also interested in all wiring that runs through that area, which includes wires to the PS door and who knows what else.

I have most of what you need but shipping would suck. Try to find it local first but let me know if you don't find it and we can see how bad the shipping will empty your wallet.

As far as harness goes, I have a complete stock 1985 single cab harness that will be the same as a K5. $50 I do not have the power accessories harness though, that is a stand alone harness you can add to any main harness.

Do you have AC or heat only? I have a complete heat only setup on the shelf already pulled for an 85 along with the correct control cables. If you have AC, my 85 suburban is donating what I need to restore the AC in my wife's K20 but I don't need the in cab housing, vacuum lines or wiring. $40 for either setup but shipping will be 3X-5X of that. I can also include all of the duct work as I have several sets of those.

I have at least one AC glove box with a good hinge and latch. $20

Windshield you will want to get new but I would recommend Mister A's for new seals. He is an independent dealer for Precision seals and keeps everything for a squarebody in stock.

How are your kick panels? I have those from both AC and non-AC trucks at the moment as well.

It has A/C. I haven't really thought through deleting it. PS kick panel is a puddle on the floor.

Deleting AC can be done two ways. Either keep the original in cab AC section and vacuum controls for heat while adding an AC delete cover under the hood to remove the condenser housing. Or, do some sheet metal work to allow for mounting factory heater box with mechanical controls.

I was going to say the firewall holes for the ac and non-ac trucks are different and don’t interchange.

I have procured most of these parts and am now focused on understanding and getting the wiring. So there's a main in-cab harness attached to the fuse block, which attaches to all of the column-mounted things, light switch, cluster, etc. Then there's a heater harness, which seems to get power from the firewall terminal block and attaches to the relay, blower resistor, HVAC controls and A/C clutch wiring. I'm also told there is an accessory power harness, which must come off of the fuse block, but where? How do the power windows tie in?

Power plugs into the front of the fuse panel and the ground goes to the ground lug attached above the ebrake pedal. That end of your current harness should still be there when you remove it for comparison.

I have the main harness and possibly HVAC harness. I know I don't have the power window/lock harness for a K5/regular cab at the moment.

You can see the power taps at the top of the fuse panel in this picture. There will be a specific one for power accessories.

The HVAC however, it draws the main power under the hood.

Then, there is another connector into the main harness behind the dash near the fan switch.

I still need the main power window harness that runs across the cab.

Have you checked with New Boyz Squarebody Rescue ... They have a Facebook page and the owners name is Cory Burhman .. great guy ..

cell phone is 717-830-9330

I have bought from him as well as other on this site. Good Reputation and he just recently made a headlight wiring harness for someone in need of a rework.

When did the power lock connectors change? Here's what I have now to pass into the passenger door. I have no information about what was there, as it's all obliterated. The new in cab harness is a match on the driver's side.

The power door lock connector just inside the cab changed for the 1988 model year, from the old Pack-Con I (12004140 and 8911773) to 280-series (12034344 and 12034343). I have the earlier style for across the cab (which matches my driver door) and the later style now snaked into the passenger door (picture above).

For whatever reason, the power lock motor itself sticks with the Pack-Con, so it's not like they were eliminating it from inventory. Unfortunately, I haven't found any of these connectors in my stash(es). It would be easy to substitute some other connector or even just splice, but I want to keep it plug and play.

Fortunately, Mouser has these parts in stock so all I have to do is swap that one connector. I'm posting all of this in case somebody else is searching for the same information.

This is fixed, but I had a weird issue with a constant current draw on the lock circuit. The power lock relay is now unavailable and really easy to pull apart, so I tested mine and re-assembled it so now I have power locks and windows, just like I'm up to date with 1975 technology.

It looks like I don't have this round cover, #12. "AIR VENT BAFFLE-RIGHT HAND":

I need whatever bushing ties the wiper motor arm to the wiper drive arm. I can't find a picture of this piece, but the whole assembly seems available used. Currently the wipers move together, but are not connected to the motor because these have separated. I will take it apart and see if this is something easily fabricated. Plus, once it's apart, I can see if anything else needs replacement.
