So i guess this wil be the bodywork thread for my blazer. I grew up in a body shop, and had i not joined the navy right out of school, id have surely been a 3rd generation bodyman. Ive got some tricks up the ol sleeve even still. What i do not have is a downdraft paint booth at my disposal, nor a garage big enough to make a temporary once. Not to mention, i know the very real dangers of spraying 2k urethanes in anything other than a DD booth.
So..... im gonna use an oil based enamel. Ill spray the jams, roll the base, and PROBABLY spray a catalyst clear.... well see
Ive got only one spot thatll need some sheet metal work, and bondo. Couple other easy bondo spots, and ill have to weld up the pop-rivet holes that held on the ridiculous body side mouldings. Long as i take my time, i shouldnt need any bondo there. The older sheet metal is thicker on these than modern cars, therfore less probe to warp.
