Yikes... that's what my ex used to call "flagga-dagga-flagga-dagga" which was his way of sayin.. you got a leak...

In other news.. I WANT HEADERS!!! Where's my Valentine's day headers?????

I gave them away last year, sorry bout that!

Haha. I think you and I would be the only ones on there :rotfl:

Wait....Adam should be jumping in here any minute, but I hear he's a goth guy! ASDT MNGR!

I'm hoping its just the gasket. Also hoping I don't break any bolts tomorrow. Otherwise I will have to talk my ex into helping

as mentioned, hit them early and often with some PB or liquid wrench, a oxy/actelyene torch works good too!

And don't talk to the ex bout nothin'....we got that covered now!

Nice job on the fix, thank god it's over. These guys have been so fixated on the new blond chick all the other threads are being ignored :)

Haha. Well I can't help it that I'm adorable :) I have plenty of other things u guys can help me with.

OH YES......So many things.......

Seriously though, how did the fasteners do? Any problems?

I know everybody here has different ideas, but every exhaust manifold or header I had any say-so about, either used some Never Seeze or studs with brass nuts when I put them back on.

This stuff helps when you've got to take anything back apart.

Jessica, after a couple heat cycles on the engine, check those header bolts again, you will probably be able to tighten them some more, then check em a couple times a year, 25-30 ft lbs, or if your a strong girl, a good snug tightening with a 3/8 drive ratchet will work. they don't need to be super tight.

One can of that will paint the inside of the Astrodome! I banned that from the shop and made everyone use the brush on. That spray goes everywhere!

So couple of things, I would have painted those bad boys while you had em off. BBQ paint works well. Sounds like they are already back on though.

The BBQ paint will need heat to cure. It works better than the " high heat header paints"

Second, your plug wires, at least one of them, is actually touched your header. See if you can get that off the header. You will eventually have problems with this
