It is just a stock 4L60E with a corvette servo. What do you mean "hook up"?

He was asking me about it earlier today....wanted to know how different it was from a 700R4 as far as the converter and the bellhousing.

but after thinking about it and what I have sitting here int h400 parts I'm gonna stay with the th400 for now.
although if it is complete and has the controller for the overdrive and convertor then i might still be interested..how was the shifter set up?

It fits just like a 700r4 as far as I can tell. There is no overdrive controller that I am aware of.

Are you sure it is a 4L60<font color="red">E</font> and not just a 4L60? The electronic "E" version would not work in your '82 without a wiring harness and computer to control the shifts. The 4L60 and 700R4 are the same transmission, GM just changed the name (probably because of the bad rap the 700R4 was getting).

The 700R4/4L60 will have a 4 prong plug on the side of the transmission for controlling "torque converter lockup" only. Many aftermarket companies sell wiring kits to control the 700R4 lockup very cheap.

I finally sold the engine, so I am now parting this thing out. I think I am going to keep the passanger side doors and maybe the bucket seats, but the rest is up for grabs. I need to get this out of my driveway in the next couple weeks, so speak now, or its going to the scrap yard.
