1/2 ton status
I have had this burb for nearly 9 months, I runs like a horse. I have to sell it because I am moving back to Tahoe in a couple of months and just don't have time for this project. I started building just doing routine maintenance, a paint job to get rid of some rust. I also threw some bumpers on it and a 4" lift that isn't finished yet.
I picked it up from a mercedes collector that had no use for it, he had 25 old diesel mercedes in his yard
I originally intended to use it as a back up parts truck, or build a second wheeler for my friends. Turns out I didn't want to part the sucker, I dont have the time as it is to finish my Jimmy before I move.
Problems:
Rust, it has a lot, mostly body problems
it has mismatching gears, 4.11 in the front and 3.73 in the rear.
Interior carpet needs to be replaced, no 3rd row seat.
82' 3/4 ton Suburban
registered diesel, now has dependable 350 with hooker headers and edelbrock carb
Th-400, has had recent rebuild, shifts smooth and strong
NP 208
New Battery, good starter, fires right up

other than that it's pretty much stock. Runs great I used it for the last few months on the freeway everday.
Anything else....
Oh ya I need to sell this ASAP, I mean yesterday.

Pretty isolated but this truck is definately worth the parts or a sweet project.
