This has been sitting in my parents driveway for the past year, so it's time to go. I put 2 new batteries in it last weekend and it fired right up. Since I bought it I have put a fresh motor in it, rebuilt the turbo, installed the lift, added 3/4 ton running gear, and gave it a fresh paint job. The transmission has less than 5,000 miles on a rebuild. The seals and gaskets have been replaced in the NP205 and it has been modified for twin stick. All it needs is the levers.
The A/C has been converted to R134A, but it needs to be re-charged. The carpet has been removed and replaced with rubber flooring. The stock seats are in good condition and have seat covers.

Extras include:
14 bolt FF rear
Half doors
Components for hydraulic assist steering (all you need are the mounts and hoses)
Black tube steps
3" exhaust with Flowmaster muffler

Both rear quarter panels have been dented (hit & run/ trailer) and the fender flares are rashed (following a Toyota down a trail). I can provide close-up pics of all the damage. The transmission pan also leaks where the transmission temp sensor penetrates. The windshield also has a small crack in it, so it will need to be replaced eventually.

You can reach me at (559)240-0329 after 5pm

Yep. My parents live in Auberry which is about 40 minutes northeast of Fresno. I moved to Washington and left the blazer in California.

Hey so for other Cali guys thinking the same thing I am...what about smog? So there technically is no smog test b/c it is a diesel but can they do a visual inspection on it? That open pipe wouldn't be fun to explain, lol.

Too bad you have to sell it...looks like a fun rig.

There is no smog requirement since it's a diesel and there are no required inspections. I imagine if you were pulled over for a cop and they started snooping around you might get a fix-it ticket. But I drove it regulalry like that for 4 years and never had anyone bat an eye at it. It's not all that loud thanks to the turbo. And if the new owner decides they don't like it, the "stock" muffler and 3" pipe are included.

I hate to let it go, but a good friend painted it for me so I feel like a jerk anytime I scratch it :o

Thanks,
Matt

Well buddy I'm a giving kind of guy so just mail the keys to me and I'll go take it for a spin and get some good scratches on it...then you won't feel guilty anymore and you can keep it!

lol, I wish...my current money pit won't allow that though. I'm surprised you don't have more bites on this, especially in Smog Nazi Cali...
Best of Luck to ya'!

The Banks is a major improvement over stock. If I ever own another vehicle with the 6.2, a turbo will bw the first thing to be put on. I believe claimed HP and torque increases are around 30%

Hey man...I know I didn't have the funds to look into another rig but I showed it to my dad since he has been looking for a fun dd. He reads meters for PG&E so his dd can be a "toy" since he just drives the company truck during the day.

He reads the Auberry area and he was wondering if you could PM me your address (well actually I guess its your parent's address) so that he could drive by and check it out sometime.

Thanks.

lol, I'll pass that piece of info. along to my dad. :)

I'm just trying to save him...the other dd he's looking at is an early 70's F*rd pickup w/ a small lift on 35's...but he likes it because its pre-smog and it'll be something different for us to work on.
BUT I would much rather see him in this...more space, MUCH better condition, not a F*rd, drivetrain in this is about as good as it gets for a dd and no smog!

Hopefully I can swing him.

man id love it but wrong side of the country! wonder how to get it to VA. how many miles on the motor?

it's a nice setup...I'm in the process of coming up with the money (long story) but through the whole process I've gone to his parent's house twice to check it out and the build quality is incredible...not to mention that Matt is a great guy to work with...even with all the crap that has come up with my funding...

-Avery

if shipping wouldnt be rediculous, i would really have to think about it. any idea what it would cost to get it to VA?

Right off hand I have no idea how much it would cost to ship a vehicle. If I get a chance I'll see what I can find out. And to answer your earlier question, I believe the motor has about 70,000 on it.
