82 Diesel burban auto

Hey all I found a 1982 Suburban diesel auto 4x4 with Banks turbo kit for sale about 120-150 miles from where I live. Would the 1982 have a 4 speed auto OD or the 3 speed? Not sure if its half or 3/4 ton.

1/2 ton would be the 700R-4, 3/4 ton would be the TH400.

the th400 is a 3 speed, non over drive.

I second that.....and i saw that burb listed, interesting.......

Ya I want the 700R4. I know the TH400 will probly be more reliable and can handle more power, but want the OD.
