82 k5 barn door blazer

this is how I got it the body was rusty and full of bondo. so I swapped a 86 4x4 body onto the 2wd chassis. and now I am swapping the suburban barn doors and roof onto it. I have to load more pictures of the build to my photobucket so I can post them.

fyi we had a guy do a suburban to blazer back half project . man was it full of custom work to make it all look factory .

hope you got time .

people putting barn doors on K5's, removable tops on 'burbs...

loving it! :thumb:

I have a idea how to put a blazer top on a burb. I want to use the whole back of a blazer so the wheel will be centered in the quarter.

basically a 4 door blazer

I cut 1-1/4 inch out of the rear part of the roof and need to cut the same from the length of the window

I did this a different way then I have seen anyone else do it

I cut the blazer roof off and grafted the sub roof in three pieces to the blazer. using the rear door jam as the back part of the blazer door jam.

hills hotrods and every other swap like this I have seen adds about 2 inches to the length of the overhang behind the wheels to fit the sub top. and they keep the blazer roof with the sub roof grafted to it
