Hi all could anyone help me i have a 82 k5 blazer with a Goodwrench SB 350 motor on a th350 box NP205 308 diffs and 33x12.50 tires im puling around 60 to 75 in first gear then off the clock in second i know i need to change my diffs but does anyone know what too? or what sort of speeds you are all getting so i can try to work out my gearing. plus does anyone know where i can get a 45 degree elbow to fit my oil sender back on my motor as without it the sender hits the manifold, over here in England im struggling to find one
cheers, Bart /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I just shipped two gearsets to England about two weeks ago and the customer got them today. Hopefully you'll want to get your stuff from me as well. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I'd suggest 4.10s for 33s if you don't have overdrive, and 4.56 if you plan on 35s later.

Any parts store should have the elbow...that's 1/8" NPT just for reference.

are you saying that in first gear you go 60-75 MPH??? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

First gear in a TH 350 is 2.52:1. With 33s, in 1st, at 5000 RPM he's going nearly 64 MPH. Sounds crazy but that's what airplane gears do. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I can only go 11 MPH in my 1st gear. My rev limiter is at 5200 IIRC. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Yes in first shes pulling 60 to 75 mph and off the clock in second my buddy paced me on motorcycle so i know these speeds are right. as to the elbow i cant find one anywhere over here been looking on American web sites for one think they are made by weatherhead.
