Stupid Question...I have an '83 4x4 w/ 350. I'm having tranny trouble not yet diagnosed. I saw a 78 4x4 w/350 . Will these 2 trucks interchange parts ???

Depend on what trans you have and which one you get. 350, 400, SM465, 700R4. and that's just the Transmissions, Transfercases will represent a problem too if your mixing and matching. These issues can be overcome with a little money and time.
Yup,a LOT of variables in what kind of drivetrains two trucks have,even the same year,and depending on whether they are both 1/2 tons or 3/4 ,etc..
But if he changes everything,he could swap whatever tranny the donor truck has into his,providing everything is there he'll need ,like crossmembers,driveshafts,etc..but its a lot easier to put back what was there to begin with!..

The '78 is a good runner, my 83' is in better condition and has gas sucking A/C, but tranny trouble.
Maybe I'll just ride the 78 and use the 83 for parts ??
