*****SOLD!!!!*****

1983 GMC K20 flated 4x4. 454/465/208. 10b/14bsf. 50k mile Goodwrench replacement motor has a cam, edelbrock intake, new timing set, lifters, etc. has about a 2.5" add-a-leaf kit and 35" BFG AT's on nicer Western aluminum wheels. My gramps bought this truck new in '83 and gave it to me. I learned how to drive in this truck. It has 250k+ miles. Was original 6.2 diesel truck. No smog worries with the big block. The interior is decent for a 23 year old truck. No floor mat or carpet or anything at the moment. I do have a new set of black carpet that I got from Ebay ready to go in. I've also got a set of new ball joints, new wheel joints and a new/rebuilt steering box from Napa. The only thing I can think of that needs attention right away is the carb. It either needs a new one or this one rebuilt. It runs- I drive it everyday, but it's not right at all. Edelbrock 1904 I believe. And with the cam it has, it NEEDS headers. Basically selling it because I need a commuter. Pictures follow-

If only you were on the other side of the country:crazy:

About the only trade I would be interested in would be for a commuter of some sort. Not a junker though....

Hmmm...No idea to be honest. lol. Because it was a diesel, my guess would be 3.42's. The tag is no longer on the front axle either. With the 35's and the 465, it's doin about 3100rpm at 65-70mph. It'l burn out on command. Sooo...I dunno?

My diesel 3/4 ton came with 4.10 so notelling what it is.
Turning 3100 at 65 I would say you definitely don't have tall gears, so can't be 3.42

Was the speedo corrected for the bigger tires? If no then you probably have 3.73 gears, if not your looking at 4.56. Basically if you took off 28" tall tires and replace them with 35" tires your speedo says 70 mph while your actually driving 86 mph :haha:

lol, ok.:haha:

I have it on craigslist too...Someone coming to check it out today. Wish me luck.

Good luck having someone show up off of craigslist... about 15% chance they actually will, but if they do the good news is they will probably buy it.

Already talked to the guy on the phone. He works about 5 miles from my house. Coming to check it out on the way home from work.

man do i ever wish you were closer! add a 14FF and a pair of overload airbags, bolt my plow on the front of it. that thing would be a snow pushing beast.
