Glad to see these forums are still kicking! I used to frequent these boards back in college all the time, but it appears my login has been lost to the ages :( Anyways, on to selling my favorite truck....

1983 K5 Blazer. 185,000 miles on truck, 65,000 on engine and all the parts listed below except the transmission (which is probably closer to 30-40k). My folks bought it new in 1983 and I have been driving it since 2000. I'm selling it because I just don't have much opportunity to drive it anymore, and really could use something more suitable for home construction.

Upgraded parts over stock:
  • Edelbrock Performer 350 crate engine - Aluminum heads, water pump, and intake.
  • Crane Cam Gold Race Roller Rockers
  • Edelbrock 1904 Quadrajet carb (also have the stock, computer controller E4ME quadrajet for CA smog compliance)
  • MSD HEI Distributor (also have the stock HEI distributor for CA smog compliance)
  • Spiro-Pro plug wires, with 1200 degree fiberglass boots
  • Edelbrock TES headers
  • Flowmaster 70 series with custom cat-back exhaust
  • Bowtie Overdrives Level 2 700R4 transmission with extra temp gauge and TCC lockup switch
  • AGR Steering Box
  • Warn Premium manual hubs
  • Rear anti-sway bar (in addition to stock forward sway bar)
  • Moog tie-rods
  • Bilstein Monotube shocks
  • Mickey Thompson Classic II wheels w/31s
  • Sony Minidisc (hah!) deck, 10 disc CD changer, 6x JBL GTO speakers (two extra speakers added by the rear bench)
  • Class 3 hitch

Other info:
  • Original NP208 TC and original axles. All the wheel bearings have been redone within 10k miles (front and rear). Rear driveshaft U-joints are the same vintage.
  • Needs a new A/C compressor, and all the A/C lines have been removed and will be included with the truck
  • It was repainted in 1996, but now the clear coat is failing on the hood and cab roof
  • Small dent in the passenger lower rear quarter panel where my bumper got pushed in while I was crawling up a gully.
  • Will include the carb and distributor that came with the crate engine, but are not CA smog legal because they are not computer controlled. Depending on where it goes, I'll sell it with either set installed.
  • Includes a full set of polyurethane suspension bushings and body mounts - I bought them awhile ago but never got around to installing them.
  • I have a steering box brace for it that I also never got around to - the frame IS NOT cracked.
  • I have a mostly complete spare gauge cluster I got from a junkyard that I will also include.
  • I also will include the tail-gate mount for the spare tire which is not currently installed.
  • Includes factory service manual.

Honestly, I don't know what a good price is for this truck, especially in this group where a lot of the good 4x4 parts are still stock. I'll just leave it at $6k or best offer to keep it open. Thanks for looking!

I can take some more pics of the interior tomorrow once the sun is up again. Nothing major in terms of rust, only a small (0.5") star in the paint on the right rear fender that is likely a hint of rust underneath. The rear window is functional and runs decently (the tracks have been replaced a couple times), but it's certainly not whisper quiet (although I doubt those rear windows have ever been quiet by any definition of the word).
