on the newer K5's with the partial tops, Is the B-pillar frame built to withstand a roll? If so, could you integrate a rear partial family cage into it? I just want to be able to mount 3 or 5 points in the back seat for my kids.

I asked a similar question a couple of years ago and someone posted a cut away pic of the factory "rollbar" . It is just several layers of sheetmetal sandwiched to make a stiff "bar" across the roof. I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to count on it in a rollover, even attached to additional bars. Plus it is notorious for internal rust.

Lots of guys will just do a family cage in the back, especially with the half cabs because room over head is limited with that B pillar. Something good and strong in the back would work well for the kids and partially the front seats.

Flipped once @ highway speed. My guess is a rear family cage tied to the frame is fine. Wouldn't hurt to go all the way to front though.

Rolled mine crawling a few weeks ago, it didn't even push the cab down to the inner cage.
