I mostly don't use my top, also haul dirty stuff in the bed. The dust and dirt blow forward into the cab, and into my eyes. Was wondering if one of those roof spoilers or some other thing might help with this?

I know that it won't be a complete cure, but you can use the vent windows turned all the way forward to help some. But you may already be doing this, just didn't say.

I am not sure if it came this way, but my m1009 (86 K5) has manual kick vents.
They can be opened to let in fresh air regardless of whether the heater or fan is on.
I use the wing windows turned around and open both kick vents when wheeling.
It helps keep some of the dust from rolling in from the back.
Now, i think your 83 has those vents but they are vacuum controlled and are operated by the heater controls.
You might try and figure out which setting opens the kick vents and the fresh air inlet door under the winshield.

Thanks guys. I'll try the vent windows, never thought of that. Seems to be worse with the door windows down. Mine was originally A/C but most of that is gone and the ducting under the dash. The heater blows hot though and keeps the windshield clear so I haven't bothered with it much. I do wonder about those rear spoilers they put out back, seems if it ducted air from over the roof inwards it might help. Maybe I'll try a 2x6!
