hey guys, i have seen talk of a complete kit from ORD that had the rear shackle flip, the HD front and rear shackles and new springs that added up for a 3" lift. but this is not listed on their site. Basically my springs are whooped and i am looking to fit 33x12.50x15"s. i have searched on peoples opinions on Tuff Country and seems that is the best bolt on kit for these, i was looking at the ezride springs, how capable would a 2-3" TC EZride k5 with 33's be, truck is DD and will run moderate east coast trails(rausch creek). i think 4" would make the 33's look small but i do want to be able to get some nice flex.

thanks

I've run a 3" TC front/rear ORD flip setup for the last 4 years with 315/75x16s (i.e. not-quite 35s) and cut fender bottoms. Works well, good flex, in fact, I think it's a little too much flex, but that's probably due to my rear stock springs being on the way out after 4 years of a lot of wheeling with the flip. I don't like body roll on the street, so I keep the swaybar connected (ORD discos). Actually, I don't like body roll on the trail either, so I keep the swaybar connected on most trails as well (an example is the crossing of the Golden Crack in my avatar...). Since I've added the front ORD bumper, second battery, and winch, I replaced the TC EZs with 3" TC HDs last summer. Ride is a little firmer, but still comfy.

I have the 3" lift too but, have yet to disco the swaybar. Do you still have too much roll with the HDs? Do ya sit level with the winch, battery&bumper? Thanks!:D

ORD 3" lift, EZ ride TC's up front, blown up motor after two weeks of owning so, can only comment that it rides nice and comfy with swaybar on (have yet to disconnect it) and 33x12.50R15's on 15x10's fit no problem on the street. Will start wheeling it as soon as swap the motor!

I did fine with 33's on a 4 inch set of front springs , and rear shackle flip with good rear stock springs . I fit 32's on my 83 when stock , so 2 to 3 inches will be fine , with 4 inches looking really good .

4 inch and 33's :

BTW , the rig don't look like that anymore , I caught the wheeling bug .....bigtime :pimp:

I just cant justify buyin a lift that small! lol im gona do a 4" on my 72K5 when i build that and run 35's Mostly just a street cruiser. I have an 8" lift on my 79/89 blazer!
If it were me and i was gona spend money on a lift i would buy the 4" or just save the money and run stock springs, but stock replacement springs wouldnt save you that much.

I have brand new in the box TC 3" EZ rides and a ORD flip. Willing to talk.
Is there a email I can send you info to ???
I'm in NJ too.

i run 33's at stock height and i've only had a tire rub one time when i had some major flexing offroad.

i'll be starting on my 4" lift soon, and agree that the tires may look a tad small, but performance is what i am after, so i'm keeping the lift modest and the tires not gigantic so it's streetable, doesn't give me too much tire for my gearing, and will flex without rub.

MarcS, when i went to your profile it said user cant be contacted through email, i might be interested in the rear flip, let me know how to contact you.
