i have an 83 k5 with a 700r4, i have a 87 203 out of suburban, can i mate the two of them, nd where do i find a spacer plate to mate the two of them together, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

The 203's last year in production was '79, the stock T-case for that Suburban would have been the 208 which should bolt up to the 700R-4. Is the T-case in the Suburban cast iron or aluminum?

Is the 208 in your K5 broken or otherwise not working? Aside from shift fork wear issues the 208 is actually a good T-case with a nice low range of 2.61:1. I wouldn't swap in a heavier 203 with a taller low range when there are better options out there. Not only that but the 203 is a fulltime 4WD case.
What is the situation with the K5, what are the plans for the K5 as far as how you plan to use it? What are you hoping to accomplish by swapping in a 203?

the 208 had blown apart, the 203 was given to me, didnt know if the tires thats on truck is what blew it apart or the shifting fork blowing out is what did it, running 35's, stock gears, looking to make it just a toy, but would like to drive daily if had to. looking to just do what i can to put it back together, damn thing been sitting too long, should i just find a stock transfer case? or what?

I'm up here in Des Moines Iowa I have a good 208 that I would sell you heck I might even meet you half way! I swapped out out my th350 np208 combo for a th400 np203 cause I cracked the case on my th350 but the 208 is fine and worked good. you can tell the difference in gearing kinda miss the 208 but im going to a doubler soon and have no need to hold onto the 208. Let me know if your interested
