I'm swapping a '76 model 14BFF under my '91 Suburban and I need the backing plates off of an '82-up model 14BFF so I can use my stock parking brake setup

preferably in driving distance, but will pay shipping if necessary

I may have some

I think there may be some in my parts pile out back. I am from texas as well (east tx). I am currently out of town right now but will be back home later this week. I will check and let you know.

Correction: you want '83, not '82, and up plates. The '82 plates will be identical to your current '76.

Did you also post on Texas4x4?? I replied there and will check tonight to see of they are still in the garage.

i just started on my rear disk brakes, let me get my brakes pulled off and i will have a set, pretty sure they are 85 or 86 model, how can i tell if they are the ones you need? you can have them if they are the right ones and you pay the shipping. i will be out until monday, besides its pouring rain right now, i guess i can take my laptop to use in the motel.

Look at the e-brake cables where they go into the backing plate. Are they retained by 2 bolts or a press-in type?

If they're the press-in type cable, those are what he needs.
