Hey everybody I have align metal wire inside the hood that is used to pop the hood and it is malfunctioned and I can’t open the hood any advice how to open the hood when that wire has malfunctioned? Thank you

What can you see when lay under the front, and look up between the grill and the radiator.

Could try pulling the drivers side inner fender to get access from the back side/ into the engine compartment.
Do you feel resistance when you pull the hood release as if the cable is attached? If so, have someone pull the release and hit the front of the hood.
These trucks sometimes need the Fonzie fist bump on the hood to get them to pop open. Mine does every time...eeehhhhh
That’s what I was referring to. Both of my gmt400’s need that fist bump.

right after I wrote you we were leaning on the hood that wouldnt open for 4 days...all the sudden a pop sound came from under the hood. we kept hitting and trying to jar the hood open...sure enough it came open. The new battery we just put in had fallen out of it's place and took down the hood opening wire with it locking in in place. We got that sorted out and but now need to replace hood opening wire!
We've got quite a few honey dos on this K5.
Just getting a new water pump on and a new radiator that came in the mail!
