I found a decent 1984 suburban tub but the dash is gone.
I want to put this body onto my 78 suburban frame
How difficult would it be to swap the dash/harness from my 78 into the 84?
I would also like to use my 78 front clip for the old school look.
What problems will I run into?
I would imagine I need to change out the fuse block as well.

Thanks

Scott

Swapping the bodies is easy, I've done quite a few that way. Swapping the dash harness might be a little tougher, you'll have to swap steering columns also as I believe the 84 had column mounted wiper switch, if it doesn't than its not to hard (I can't remember the yr switch off the top of my head). Best thing to do here is to just swap all wiring from body to body and yes you'll need the fuse box. On the front clip, read this article http://coloradok5.com/grilleswap.shtml ... that article is swapping front clips the opposite way you want to go but will give you an idea of whats going on.

You can view some pics I have of a 81 body going onto a 77 chassis. I actually took pics of the last body swap I did.
