84 Carb Identification

I have a 84 chevy k5 stock. What kinda carb is on it? I know its a quadrajet electric choke but where can I find a number for it?

on the rear part of the body. It will be verticle on the casting

There also might be a tin tag on one of the air horn screws,if not go to Napas web site and look up carbs to get an idea of the length of the number you need to match up,there 6-10 digits or so.

Basically if its original its going to start off 17084 then either 0,1, or 2 for Chevy ( side front fuel inlet ) , then evens for auto trans and odd for manual trans

Q- jets are not manufactured by anyone anymore. It will be hard to find a new one. You will most likely have to get a re-manufactured one or rebuild yours.
