I am currently looking for an NP205 for my 84 CUCV to replace the facoty 208. I have come across some good deals on 205s with the figure 8 pattern, but I looked under it today and it didnt look like mine was figure 8, can anyone verify this?

208 has round 6 pattern. you'll need the adapter for the 205 also.

You are correct, you do not have the figure eight pattern.
Your transmission's output shaft dictates that you use a round pattern 205 with the long 32 spline input. This would also require the round adapter, and a single or double hump crossmember.

If you want to use a figure eight pattern 205, you'll have to change the output shaft in your tranny, and get the figure eight adapter .
